New Feature: Subtitles!

Posted by crystaldonut on May 6th, 2008

Subtitles now work on iTheater Movies Module!

iTheater Subtitles

You will need codecs that can detect subtitles (Perian). We have tested Perian, and it can read subtitles from mkvs and .srt files with the same name as the video file. Perian supports srt and ssa, so its great graphics for text!

Coming to iTheater Movies Module Soon… You can get this via the svn repository now!.

iTheater 0.2 Re-Released! (Updatex2)

Posted by Ed on July 16th, 2007

iTheater 0.2 has been released an brings 2 main great new features:

1. Multiple monitor support
2. iTheater Menu Bar item

These features have been highly requested over the last few months, and we are glad to finally introduce them.

UPDATE: iTheater .2 has been re-released and can be downloaded here

Currently under Development:

iTheater Update system

This is one of the next main feature for 0.2.x; we are working real hard to get this feature as stable as we can in the shortest amount of revisions possible. Our goal is that after a few more versions of iTheater, the user will not have to re-download and reinstall the entire application, but rather the user will have the ability to update iTheater from the preference pane.

This functionality has been inspired by the popular updater ’sparkle’ (you guys might know it from applications such as Adium or iTerm.) Yet sparkle is a very basic update system compared to the more complex update system that iTheater needs since it has to keep track of many types of objects right now (and in future versions).
