UPDATED: We Need Hosting
Misc. News October 19th, 2005Currently, the project website is hosted off the server that I have in my dorm. As we gain in popularity, and add new features, it has become more difficult to manage mail and backups. Come this summer, I will be moving off campus and will therefore have to relocate the server. I think it’s best that we find a permanent home for the iTheaterProject domain, instead of relying on my institution. Instead of putting this off until summer, I want to try and move our site before we hit R1 in December. I am looking for a host that offers the following services:
If you know of any hosting company that would be willing to host us, preferably for free, please send an email to me at: admin ‘at’ itheaterproject ‘dot’ com.
UPDATE:We have an offer that we are currently pursuing. Thank you all for your suggestions.

B-one is a cheap place to host, though pretty stable.
1.25 euro/month should meet your demands!

We get around 10-15 thousand hits a month. Im not sure what that works out to in regards to actual data transfers. Mint is still collecting data, so I really cant give an exact count on what we are pulling at the moment. Were using SourceForge to distribute all our release files, so thats going to take a huge portion of the bandwidth load.

Well if you can get me some info it’d be nice but we have a couple of terabytes worth of data transfer a month that is unused. How can I contact you?

A really inexpensive but feature-rich hosting solution I’ve used for the last 2 years is 8-95.com (which in a way describes the price of one of its packages). It’s “cheap” but stable. They leave it to you to handle all your hosting setup and maintenance; that’s how they afford it, no customer support really.
