January 9th, 2006 at 6:01 am
please let me also be a beta tester!
Where can become a betta tester?
January 9th, 2006 at 6:22 am
May I PLEASE be a beta tester?!
January 9th, 2006 at 6:26 am
with all due respect this sucks.
January 9th, 2006 at 6:43 am
Might as well pack it up, this project is done.
January 9th, 2006 at 6:55 am
I would very much like to become a beta tester.

FIND THE THREAD LINK AND THIS POST UNDER “FINAL DELAY” SECTION (FROM THE MAIN PAGE)
Btw… follow the thread link provided to check this out. They just made a call to beta testers and then he replies to someone (oh we already have our beta testers)! … what a crock of shit! So soon?
Also, building in support for touch screens? What the hell!? Are there tablet Macs on the market now or am I missing something. I mean this isn’t a big enough request to be built in by some independent developers. Anyway this looks more and more like a hoax to me, especially with the date being pushed to January 31st now. If you had such a problem perhaps you shouldn’t have put your December release over a month ahead of schedule.
User loyalty will be lost over this little stunt, if the software ever comes to life. Somehow I just can’t believe this…

READ THE THREAD AND PDF (YOU’LL UNDERSTAND)
“3 mere weeks” till we get our hands on iTheater.
The January “9th was a date that was a little optimistic form the start. We set the date without thinking about it.”
Your team planned on releasing this in August (when what you had nothing to offer!?) and then pushed that to December 23rd… and January 9th was being a little optimistic? I can’t wait until January 31st becomes to optimistic! (maybe due to the celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) Right!!!

“Time to move on folks, nothing to see here.”
This product is surely dead in the water… looks like Apple’s FrontRow isn’t so bad after all. Compared to NOTHING that is! Guess we’ll never know if we never get to see the damn “project”
Sorry so harsh
January 9th, 2006 at 7:36 am
Clearly, if you had actually read what I had written you would have noticed that I have stated that we will be releasing on January 31st regardless of whether we are happy with the product or not. It has been set to ensure you get a product, and also as an incentive to our developers.
Also, I never said we needed BETA testers. We have the number of BETA testers we needed for the private beta (And yes, it will remain a Private BETA ;)).
January 9th, 2006 at 7:36 am
Also, if you would like to be added as a POTENTIAL / FUTURE BETA tester, then please email keir@itheaterproject.com with ‘BETA Tester’ as the subject line.
January 9th, 2006 at 7:41 am
Can’t you tell I read? I directly quoted you, or did you not type that?
January 9th, 2006 at 7:44 am
And besides I don’t think there will be a product to be released on the 31st Keir.
January 9th, 2006 at 7:47 am
And if you didn’t need Beta Testers… you have an awfully funny way of saying it (ON THE MAIN PAGE). Btw not the only place you placed a need for testers was there.

I know, I know (it says further down within the PDF about the Private Group of testers)… but obviously there was confusing or you wouldn’t have had everyone dying to sign up to be a beta tester.
Sincerely,
Written in haste

I’ll be watching this site now with hesitation until the 31st. Good luck to you and the developers! I think you’ve probably lost some folks over this, but hopefully once you release something, they’ll come back and you’ll earn a new crowd as well. I honestly would like to see this project become a reality…
January 9th, 2006 at 7:58 am
The post titled ‘Beta Testers Boot Up Your Mac - Your Time Has Come’ is aimed at our private testing group.
There will be a product on January 31st. That is guaranteed as I said. You can choose not to believe us, but you would be proved wrong
Thank you for your support Anubis.
January 9th, 2006 at 8:02 am
I think everyone here would like to see this project become a reality, including myself. But at this rate I’m not sure they’ll still be around when it is released.
The screenshots were a nice teaser, but I can’t help but be suspicious now (after all of this I mean).
January 9th, 2006 at 8:08 am
I’m mostly tired and cranky… I was anticipating this thing (annoucement or otherwise). Sorry if I posted anything offensive. I’m really looking forward to this you guys.
January 9th, 2006 at 8:08 am
Well I can tell you that the screenshots are not something I threw together in Photoshop.
Plus, if you’ll hold on for 3 weeks, it’ll be worth it
As we said, we may even have it out the door before then but basically, We guarantee that you’ll have it by or on January 31st.
January 9th, 2006 at 8:09 am
goodnight all!
January 9th, 2006 at 8:25 am
I agree with everyone. The idea is wonderful, but more information would be greatly appreciated. If “beta-testing” will be put in place i would certiantly love to be involved with that. As of now, all we can do is patiently wait.

Thank you Pierce.
Unfortunatly we have as many BETA testers as we need this time around but if you send an email to press@itheaterproject.com with ‘BETA Tester’ as the subject line, we will be happy to add you to the next round of BETA testing, post-RC1 Release.
January 9th, 2006 at 10:44 am
Can you at least post the code on svn?
January 9th, 2006 at 10:55 am
Once we have released RC1 we will be releasing the Source Code on to the SVN.
We wan’t to keep iTheater a surprise until RC1 is out
January 9th, 2006 at 1:26 pm
I’ve waited this long, I can waite another three weeks, I was a bit anoyed at first, but i made sure i didn’t post then, and, we all know it’s for the better anyway!
thanks,
looking forward to iTheatre on the 31st
