iTheater 0.2 Re-Released! (Updatex2)
Posted By: Ed @ July 16, 2007

iTheater 0.2 has been released an brings 2 main great new features:

1. Multiple monitor support
2. iTheater Menu Bar item

These features have been highly requested over the last few months, and we are glad to finally introduce them.

UPDATE: iTheater .2 has been re-released and can be downloaded here

Currently under Development:

iTheater Update system

This is one of the next main feature for 0.2.x; we are working real hard to get this feature as stable as we can in the shortest amount of revisions possible. Our goal is that after a few more versions of iTheater, the user will not have to re-download and reinstall the entire application, but rather the user will have the ability to update iTheater from the preference pane.

This functionality has been inspired by the popular updater 'sparkle' (you guys might know it from applications such as Adium or iTerm.) Yet sparkle is a very basic update system compared to the more complex update system that iTheater needs since it has to keep track of many types of objects right now (and in future versions).

0.20 Development Status
Posted By: Ben @ June 08, 2007

Hi Everybody!

Development of version 0.20 is well under way; i wanted to let our users know how we are doing feature wise:

Completed Tasks:

iTheater Multiple Monitor Support

We have now the ability for the user to pick which monitor to use with iTheater. This was a much requested feature for all of you folks that hook up you mac to your television or other monitor. This is currently only configurable via preferences

Introduction of the iTheater Status Bar Item

Another great thing is the addition of an iTheater icon into the status menu; this helps because you have access to iTheater and its preferences via this menu or a user configurable hotkey shortcut.
(currently we are only supporting keyboard shortcuts, but there will eventually be support for apple remote and wii remote)
